The National eHealth Living Lab (NeLL) originated in the Leiden University Medical Center and is one of the main partners of Triall. At NeLL, patients, healthcare professionals, consumers, students, scientists, entrepreneurs, organizations, and institutions corporate to develop and create successful eHealth-tools.
NeLL strives to be an open, independent, knowledge-driven eHealth community. According to NeLL: eHealth has a huge part in the development of the healthcare services of tomorrow. Nevertheless, eHealth can only be implemented successfully if parties cooperate and when eHealth-tools are analyzed, tested and optimized thoroughly in cooperation with the end-user.
In order to develop sustainable, available and affordable healthcare for all, NeLL believes that we need to organize our care smarter and more efficient. NeLL connects patients, consumers, (healthcare) professionals, scientists, students, organizations and institutions, enabling them to create top quality eHealth solutions by sharing knowledge, contacts, and experiences.
“eHealth can only be implemented successfully if parties cooperate and when eHealth-tools are analyzed, tested and optimized thoroughly in cooperation with the end-user.”
Connecting people and organizations
NeLL facilitates this network by playing a pro-active role in connecting people and organizations. Members of the community meet each other at events and are updated about all relevant activities in and around NeLL’s network. By connecting different parties, NeLL strives to identify new perspectives and enhance the sharing of knowledge, information and inspiration. Using this approach, NeLL aims to create the best possible results impacting healthcare and user experience.
Towards a global network
More than 100 projects have already been initiated within NeLL, which has built a strong national and international network, cooperating with organizations in Stanford, Imperial College London, Edinburgh, Singapore, Shanghai, Sydney, and Melbourne.
