Triall today announces that it will be presenting at the ClinOpsDag 2019 (‘Clinical Operations Day’) event on the 15th of May. As part of the event, Joost Flach, Triall’s director of clinical affairs, will be giving an educational workshop on the possible implementations of blockchain technology in clinical trials.
The ClinOpsDag is hosted by the Dutch Association for Pharmaceutical Medicine (NVFG) and invites all who are involved in clinical development. It is an intensive networking and training day targeted at Dutch clinical research professionals and includes a varied program consisting of workshops, plenary sessions, and lectures.
Joost will explain how blockchain technology can play a role in the day-to-day operations of clinical trial stakeholders. In his presentation, he will dive into the impact this technology can have on clinical trial data management and recordkeeping as well as other topics such as patient data ownership, regulatory submissions, decentralized identifiers, automated payments, and drug supply traceability.
